Strategy was retained to evaluate the delays related to the construction of the approximately £778 million new Wembley Stadium project on behalf of one of the insurers. The contractor was involved in a dispute with the owner for an extension of contract time and alleged additional costs. In addition to monies being sought from the owner, the contractor was seeking recovery of approximately £27 million on the insurance policy with our client with respect to certain types of delays and costs allegedly covered by the policy.

Strategy received and evaluated contemporaneous project documentation, including the original schedule and schedule updates prepared by the contractor, and evaluated the delays to the project and the relative criticality of the same. Also evaluated were the ramifications of certain methodologies and techniques used in schedule development.

Ultimately the client reached a negotiated settlement with the contractor.
