Position: Jr. Consultant
Reports To: VP or Senior Consultant
Location: Northeast (NYC preferred)

General Responsibilities:

As a Consultant for Strategy, LLC the selected candidate, under the supervision of the project leader, would be responsible for executing a wide range of engagements involving project scheduling, delay and acceleration analysis, claims development, economic impact and analysis and other statistical analyses depending upon the specific issues involved.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of contract documents, contract language and construction drawings.
  • Good organization skills helpful in processing information provided by various parties.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to identify project scope of work and prepare project and/or change order cost estimates.
  • Quantity development.
  • Ability to analyze project documents (both hard copies and electronic).
  • Perform schedule analysis.
  • Responsible for engagement planning and interaction with client personnel as to on-going business with existing clients.
  • Assist with coordination and communication with clients and their staff.
  • Provide detailed analyses of project schedule delays, cost overruns, productivity studies and other issues related to the design and construction of complex projects.
  • Ability to develop computer models of project schedules and contractor production processes utilizing various software programs.
  • Create graphics and reports using various programs used to communicate findings/analysis.
  • May include travel.

Position Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience in construction management and/or project scheduling industry experience coupled with construction dispute-related services consulting background.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate efficient, flexible, creative problem solving skills.
  • Possess intermediate or above computer skills, including applications such as Primavera Project Planner and other project schedule and cost management applications/software.
  • BS degree required in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction.
  • Proficiency in use of MS programs such as Word and Excel as a minimum.
